Cathryn Higgs

Head of Food Policy, CO-OP

Cathryn provides leadership on all areas of food policy and is responsible for making sure The Co-op takes action on the things that matter most to customers and members, as well as ensuring that ethics and sustainability are at the heart of decision making.

Her role involves setting ethical standards for own brand products and ensuring the business is provided with advice and recommendations on scientific, legal and consumer affairs. Strategically, Cathryn and her team set the direction of travel on amongst other things nutrition, sustainable sourcing, environmental impacts, packaging & recyclability, food waste, ethical trade and Fairtrade.
